Spring Census 2020 – Fileset Update

By 14th January 2020 No Comments

We can now confirm Fileset 1403 has been released. It is important that you apply Fileset 1403 before sending your authorised Spring Census return to either the DFE or your Local Authority. Fileset 1403 is available to download from our customer portal https://my.schoolicts.co.uk/ You MUST apply database patch 25529 before applying the fileset. The patch and Fileset have been released to all our schools via SOLUS3. If you have already completed a dry run we would advise you to start a new census return once you have applied the patch and the fileset. If you have already run a dry run it will have retained much of the data but you will need to re-input anything which you have added manually.

The fileset will contain the following:

Changes to the SIMS detail reports

  • Report criteria for the ‘Leavers – Basic Data’ report changed from ‘Leavers with exclusions (01/09/2019 – 31/12/2019)’ to ‘Leavers with exclusions (22/04/2019 – 31/12/2019).

Changes to the DFE summary report

  • Table 9: Pupil count column updated to just count pupils by year group rather than just those with EYPPR = Y & N so the later columns may now not match if invalid value included in EYPPR.
  • Table 13: Now supports two terms worth of exclusions (summer term as well as autumn term)
  • Table 14 onwards: Exclusion reviews removed and all subsequent tables renumbered.
