There is currently a known issue with SIMS/FMS causing schools to not be able to run the census today due to an error with the eligibility key. The following patch has been created to resolve this issue for SIMS and has been released via SOLUS to all schools. It will auto deploy tonight but we can look to try and get this done sooner. The FMS issue is still ongoing however a patch is imminent and will be released as soon as it is made available. Please bear with us while we work with ESS on this resolution.
School Census – please be aware this does not need to be run and completed on census day. The DFE deadline is Wednesday 11th June, however individual Local Authority deadlines may differ.
Message from ESS
We have now concluded our investigation impacting a number of schools being prompted to enter an Eligibility Key upon logging into SIMS this morning.
To resolve the issue;
-
For SIMS Connected customers; a change has been released on the platform. The issue should now be resolved on relogging into SIMS.
-
On-Premise customer will need to apply patch 28955. The patch is available on SOLUS. Once the patch has been run, please relog into SIMS to resolve the issue.
We appreciate and apologise for the impact this will have had on census for our English schools.
We will be continuing a period of monitoring to ensure the resolution has been successful.
Thank you for your patience whilst investigation and resolution work has been ongoing. We apologise for the disruption experienced.
