SIMS Consolidated Workstation Patch 2 Fault Code

ESS have advised that there is an issue with consolidated workstation patch 2, which is triggering a fault code Cannot find Table 11 or 12  in SIMS when you are trying to generate the school census.

An amended patch (Consolidated Workstation Patch 2 – School Census Early Years & DAF) has been supplied by ESS and this has been released to your school via SOLUS.

The next step to take is to request that your IT team run the updated patch by following the process below:

Where School ICT would normally carry out your upgrade we are scheduling this upgraded patch to be deployed.  The fileset will then need to be reimported once this has been applied.

  1. Open SOLUS3 Deployment UI on the server – Usually located as a desktop icon.
  2. Navigate to Settings | SOLUS3 | Updates and run a ‘Get Updates’ button, making sure that ‘from the last 3 months’ has been selected in the drop-down menu.  You should see a box appear; please make sure that consolidated workstation patch 2 is included
  1. Restart the SOLUS3 deployment service within services.msc.
  2. Download and re-deploy the patch.
  3. Apply fileset 2701 again
  4. Fileset 2701 is suitable for uploading the return however the DfE are aware of some important flaws in this version and have dealt with those for COLLECT validation and reporting.  ESS will provide fileset 2702 to deal with these issues but it will not be released until after census.
  5. Schools therefore have the choice whether to upload the census on Fileset 2701. Once the file is uploaded the revised validation and reports will be applied in COLLECT and more accurate results will be provided to the school for them to take necessary action.
  6. Schools can wait for Fileset 2702 to be made available and can use the revised validation and summary report to take action before the return is uploaded to COLLECT.  If this choice is taken then schools would expect to receive results from COLLECT validation and reports that are in line with the results the received in SIMS.
  7. We will make Fileset 2702 available as soon as it is released to all schools.
