Arbor Assessment User

Course Overview

The course covers the essential skills needed to build a basic assessment system in school. Delegates will learn how to create an assessment catalogue, build the annual policy and create Marksheets for data entry using the data collection policy.

Course Objectives

This course will cover: Creating grade sets, setting up assessments in the assessment catalogue, adding assessments to the annual policy, allocating assessments to courses and using the data collection policy. This course will cover summative assessment not formative.

Target Audience

The course assumes no previous knowledge of Arbor Assessment although some experience of the use of Arbor would be an advantage but is not essential. The course has a secondary focus but primary colleagues are welcome.

Pre Requisites

This course is delivered live via a Teams meeting.  The meeting link will be emailed to the delegate ahead of the course.

  • A stable internet connection.
  • 2 Screens are desirable (1 for Teams meeting and 1 for Arbor).
  • A headset or speaker are essential so that delegates can hear the trainer.
  • A microphone and a camera are desirable but not essential. Delegates can also use the chat function in Teams to ask any questions they may have.
  • Courses are delivered live. Delegates must be on time and available undisturbed for the duration of the course. If courses are scheduled for multiple days, you must be available for all dates/times to complete the course.
  • Courses are recorded for observation and quality control only.

Our training sessions come in two formats: demonstration and interactive. For interactive sessions, participants will use a training database. Your trainer will inform you of the format for your chosen course and provide login details if necessary, before the course begins.

Please Note: we have a strict policy concerning maximum numbers of delegates on each course.  Each delegate must book a separate place and will receive an individual Teams meeting link.  Please do not share the meeting link or invite other colleagues to the course.  A charge will be applicable for any additional delegates.
