What has changed?
In April 2022, ESS, the providers of SIMS, changed the way in which Local Authority maintained schools contracted with them for the purchase of their SIMS software. All schools entered into a new 3 year direct contract with ESS, rather than contracting for their SIMS licence through their Local Authority.
What does this mean?
Local Authorities no longer make the decision on where schools must buy their SIMS Support. The power is back in your hands to undertake best value and enter into contracts with any ESS Approved SIMS Support Unit. Since COVID, our complete range of SIMS training courses have been delivered remotely providing all of our customers, wherever they are in the country, with access to high quality training without the need, hassle or environmental impact of having to travel to a training venue. We have also developed a range of Distance Learning courses that any school can subscribe to for SIMS users to learn modules at their own pace at times that fit-in with them.
