Summer Census

This is an IMPORTANT Summer Census update from the School ICT Team.
Dear Colleague,

Could I please draw your attention to the following important school census information this is based on current guidance (03/05/22). If there is additional information, we will make customers aware via email as well as updating the news section on our website https://www.schoolicts.co.uk/latest-news/

Census Dates
Summer Census Date: Thursday 19th May 2022
Free School Meal Eligibility collection period: 21/01/22 to 19/05/22
Attendance Collection period: 01/01/22 to 17/04/22
Exclusions Collection period: 01/08/21 to 17/04/22
Learner Support collected from: 01/08/21 to 19/05/22
Age at date: 31/08/2021
Deadline for submission to DFE via collect: 15/06/22 (LA deadlines may differ please check with them for dates)

If you already have an account but have forgotten your password please select the reset password option. Arbor Census

SIMS Census

SIMS Upgrade, workstation patch and Fileset
You must have had the SIMS Spring Release 7.204 and apply the SIMS Spring 2022 – Consolidated Workstation Patch 2 – Deploy Fileset and Manifest Fileset Import Fix (v.1.20.109.1) which has now been released to all schools to successfully complete your census. You will then need to import Fileset 2101 AFTER applying the patch. Please check that you have applied the latest version of the Fileset before submitting your school census. The patch and fileset are now available. Fileset are also available to download from the customer portal via my.schoolicts.co.uk with instructions on how to download and apply.

We will send out a further campaign if there any additional updates available. However, all latest information can also be found on https://www.schoolicts.co.uk/latest-news/

Update for COVID-19

“4 April 2022
Updated ‘Addendum’ to show that schools are no longer advised to record pupils who are not attending school for reasons related to coronavirus using Code X (not attending in circumstances related coronavirus). Please see the link to DfE guidance below.”

Funding and Monitoring

Cumulative Hours at Summer Census  = total number of hours the pupil has received of school-led tutoring since the beginning of the 2021/2022 academic year.
In each census, the total hours received up to and including census day are recorded as a cumulative total for the whole academic year, to the nearest 0.5.
An additional column headed Total Hrs for the Academic Year has now been made available to enable schools to add on and record any additional hours which may be given following the summer census return.
NOTE- Pupils deemed eligible for this funding are in NC Year 1 to 11 or aged 5 to 15, as at 2021-08-31 and NC year actual ‘X’.
Reception and post 16 pupils are not eligible for this funding.
